Never Have I Ever

One of my favorite bloggers over on Poorwa’s Blog recently participated in the Never Have I Ever Challenge – Blogger Edition. Because I enjoyed reading her blog post so much, I decided to give it whirl. So, without further ado, here are the questions and my answers!

Never have I ever googled myself

I can confidently say that I have been googling myself since 2003 — that is nearly 20 years of googling. What can I say? I’m curious and I want to know what people might be saying about me online.

Never have I ever broken a bone

Yes, it is true. I have never broken a bone.  

Never have I ever read an entire book in a day

I have. There are quite a few books that I’ve read in one sitting. My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult and Animal Farm by George Orwell. I remember both of these instances. I sat down to read and then the next thing I knew it was over. 

Never have I ever stayed up all night

I think anyone who has been to college cannot say that they haven’t. I’ve had many all-nighters, the kind that is fueled by coffee and a plethora of snacks. I’ve sat up late in my university’s 24-hour study lounge writing papers late into the night. 

Never I ever ghosted someone

I’ve never ghosted anyone intentionally. Sometimes when life gets busy, things happen and some things sometimes falls to the back burner. And then, you realized that you did to respond or type something back. But I try to not ghost people, and if I have, I can assure you it wasn’t intentional.

Never have I ever had a crush on a teacher

Who hasn’t had a crush on a teacher?

Never have I ever cheated on a test

The first and last time I ever cheated on a test, I ended up feeling glad I did. I was in 1st grade and the teacher gave us an addition test. I remember looking at the problems and had no idea how to solve. I glanced over at my neighbor’s and copied a few of the answers, but then he got up and handed his paper in. So, then I just wrote whatever because I had no idea how to solve. Well what happened was that the teacher contacted my parents. I wasn’t in trouble; they just said I needed help. And I did.  My parents worked with me (using flash cards) to help me practice addition and even subtraction until I knew them backward and forward.

Never have I ever had a surprise party thrown for me

Nope never. I always wanted one, but then again, I don’t really like surprises. So I probably wouldn’t like it.

Never have I ever pretended to be sick to get out of school

I might have once or twice back in high school. You know how that goes. 

Never have I ever cried at school

I don’t think I ever did, you never wanted to cry in school. Otherwise kids would make fun of you that.

Never have I ever fainted

Yes, I’ve fainted once. It was a scary experience. I remember being conscious one moment and then the next I was waking up. 

Never have I ever left someone on read

I’ve done this more times than I care to admit.

Never have I ever copied someone’s homework

Nope. Never.

Never have I ever had a near-death experience

When I was 6 or 7, I did not know how to swim. One day when I was at the pool with my family, I was playing with my pool floatie. I saw another kid climb on top of his. It looked fun. So, I decided to try. What happened was that I ended up overturning my floating. Next thing I knew I was out of the pool and the lifeguard was asking my parents if I was okay. My dad had reacted quickly and pulled me out of the water.
