About the Left-Handed Knitter & Instagram Consultant

I’m a left-handed knitter and Instagram consultant helping creative brands grow with clear strategy and strong messaging while building my own niche in public through left-handed knitting.

I didn’t come into this with a big plan.

Most of what I know about Instagram marketing came from doing. I tested content, figured out what works, and paid attention to what people actually respond to. But there was a lot of trial and error involved. The other small part was from following Instagram experts and learning from them.

I’ve been a left-handed knitter for almost 20 years, but it wasn’t until 2025 that I decided to join the knitstagram community. And put my learnings into practice.

And so, I started posting. Some days I posted everyday. And soon, I learned what worked for me. For example, I saw firsthand that posting reels nearly every day helped with reach, helping me reach as many as 50K accounts, and grow to nearly 4,000 in the first year.

As a left-handed knitter, I already know most tutorials aren’t made for me. In fact, I often find myself spending a lot of time translating, flipping, and reworking things just to make them usable. It can slow things down—but it also makes me better at breaking things apart and putting them back together in a way that makes sense.

That same approach shows up in my work.

Whether I’m helping a brand grow on Instagram or sharing a knitting tutorial, the goal is the same: make it clear, make it practical, and make it something you can actually follow through on.

Experience & Education

I have a decade of experience working in social media marketing in a professional setting. I have managed organic and paid social accounts for a variety of clients, many of them in the hospitality, gaming, writing, and medical industries. After studying reels and carousels, and most importantly human behavior, I know what makes people stop the scroll and click.

Education-wise, I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communications degree  from Southern New Hampshire University.
